They’re a very frail people and I was surprised it had taken that long for one of ‘em to die in our custody. – Pfc. Damien Corsetti, Military Intelligence, Bagram

Taxi to the Dark Side beat out Michael Moore’s, Sicko, for best documentary.  Although I would’ve liked to have seen Michael Moore’s acceptance speech (recall his scathing soliloquy after winning for Bowling for Columbine), Taxi is an awesome and shocking documentary that every American should see.  It currently scores 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, and is universally well-reviewed.  After Discovery Channel wussed out, it will be played on HBO in September of 2008.  Through personal stories and credible interviews, the movie outlines what all experts already agree (and what the current administration immorally disputes):  a) torture does not work, b) under order of the upper eschelons of this administration, ill-trained American soldiers are torturing innocent detainees which is creating more radical Islamists by the second.  Additionally, take a moment to check out the Geneva Conventions, and the Justice Department Torture Memo.  Seriously, what side do you want to be on?
