Catalina Harbor — Isla Providencia
Isla Providencia is a beautiful Caribbean island that is unfortunately difficult and/or prohibitively expensive to get to by air. The blue freighter called “Conformity” basically plowed its way to the dock dredging out its own path, and we gently went aground abreast his bow trying to anchor. Also in the harbor was a circumnavigator named George and his absolutely immaculate Cabo Rico 38 called Pyewacket. George was nice enough to ferry us to and from the dock in his dinghy so that we could explore the island, have lunch, and pick up diesel.
