Veraguas Baseball

On the road from Panama City to Santa Catalina, we stopped in a small city in the Veraguas province called Santiago.  Not really a tourist attraction, Santiago is a real working city with a bustling Avenida Central, overcrowded bus stops, and business people at lunch and school children headed home.  We ran across the Veraguas province baseball field, and while peeking through the gate, several men who worked there invited us to walk around.  Apparently, Veraguas has a pretty good team but they frequently lose to the dreaded Herrerra province described as the Yankees of the Panama league.
