Cincinnati Bengals and Monday Night Football

On Monday, September 10, 2007, Andy and I were in Cincinnati to watch the Bengals beat up on the Ravens (27-20) along with our friends, Dan and Selena. Paul Brown stadium is pretty nice (good food, plenty o’ beer, lots of bathrooms) except that the ingress/egress is not very expedient. While shuffling into the single entrance elbow-to-elbow with thousands of drunk NFL fans, Selena sustained a very nasty foot contusion.

We were particularly excited to see some Chad Johnson antics, but because of ”excessive celebration” penalties imposed by the “No Fun League”, we missed his big show for the night (see below) as it wasn’t on the jumbotron.

Ultimately, a good time was had by all, even though I’m finding the NFL, and especially NFL fans, to be … well, let’s just say it’s not exactly like going to the opera.
