Cross Town Rivalry 2005

The cross town rivalry is always tons of fun, but the 2005 USC versus UCLA game was especially fantastic:  a) USC was ranked number one and the win assured a spot in the national championship game, b) the game was Matt Leinart’s and Reggie Bush’s last home game (among several other very strong and likable player s), and, c) USC shellacked the top 10 ranked UCLA Bruins 66 to 19.

Read about this game, and many other 2005 games in college football’s most hallowed locations, in Jordan’s book Gridchronic:  A Tale of Twelve Cities, Two Brothers, and a Pilgrimage Through the Shrines of College Football.
